Who Are We?

We are a Christian family / community called by God to be the 1st Presbyterian Church in Cut Bank. God chooses & calls us together as His body & leads us by His Spirit in His mission.

Where Are We Going?

Following Christ as members of God’s Kingdom on Earth, we are heaven-bound.

What Are We Doing?

We take seriously the Scriptures, especially Micah 6:8, “What does God require of us? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God.” Because God our loving Father has given abundantly every gift and resource, God’s mission is the basis of all we do. All participate joyfully. In fellowship, letting God prepare each step of our journey, we are stewards of abundance, not scarcity, & act accordingly in:

1.     Worship: We worship God in ways that honor Him & spread the word of the Gospel. Our worship is Bible-based, preaching God’s Word. Worship extends to prayer groups for each other & for all. As our worship, we offer God all we do in every area of our lives toward His greater glory.

2.     Ministry: Love others as You have loved us. Love, respect, help, & pray for all people—including our enemies, our neighbors & each other. Give food, drink, & clothing to the needy, visit the sick & imprisoned, & show hospitality to strangers. Inspire people; create a Holy Spirit filled climate throughout the community & surrounding area that is led by the example & invitation of Christian disciples to the world.

3.     Discipleship: We learn together as we grow in grace. We are learning to understand & obey God’s word. We are learning to recognize, to develop, & to be good stewards of our spiritual gifts & God-given resources, & are learning to encourage each other in their development & use. We are faithful to nurture and give opportunities to develop current & new leaders representative of our diversity. In Bible studies, Bible-based messages, & Bible focused small groups, & Bible-based leadership development classes, we study & share together to learn how to be better disciples & servant-leaders in our church, community, & the world.

4.     Evangelism: As Christian disciples, with God’s help we invite & bring others to Christ so they also will be heaven bound. We teach, heal, & warmly welcome newcomers into worship & fellowship.

Lord, You know that You have plans to prosper us, and not to harm us. We know that when we pray, You will listen. Oh God, we pray: teach us to listen as we seek You with all our hearts. Amen.
